During
January- March, nearly 55,000 residential units launched up by 43 % in the comparison
of past quarter in top eight cities of the country. It was carefully noticed by
Global property consultant Cushman & Wakefield that during the first
quarter of 2014 year, there were 55,438 housing units launched in top eight
cities of the country compared against 38,898 residential units in the last
quarter. These top eight cities are developing rapidly due to rapid
developments in various sectors. They are named as Kolkata, Bangalore,
Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Delhi NCR.
The total estimation
units launched were carefully recorded at 55,000 residential units across major
eight cities of the country with Bangaluru recording the largest numbers of
housing units launched, an increase of 22% from the last quarter, “C & W
said in one statement.
Expecting Ahmedabad and
NCR, all other cities witnessed a high rise in total housing units launched in
the first quarter 2014 over the preceding quarter. Nearly 18%, the highest decline
was observed of new housing units compared over the previous quarter.
Replying to this
question, C & W executive managing director South Asia Sanjay Dutt said in
one statement, “Famous developers have taken a wise decision to launch many
responsive projects in the first quarter of 2014 year as they expect sales to
improve 2014 year in the second half foreseeing economic stability that will
prompt purchase decisions from the end users.”
