Maharashtra’s first metro rail is
scheduled to be initiated here on Sunday with its top and successful builder,
Reliance Infra speaking one way promotional fare of Rs. 10 per month. The
state government maintained that the real estate company stick to the innovative
fares of Rs.9, Rs.11 and Rs.13 and not increase this to Rs. 10 to 40 Rs. as it planned
to. This is completely unacceptable to us, it is said by Maharashtra chief
Minister Prithviraj Chavan. The 4300
crore will be invested by Rinfra for Mumbai metro rail of 11.40 km between Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar.
The Chavan gave hint that in the case RInfra went ahead with arbitrary fare
hike, he would not attend the introduction function on Sunday.
In fact, he said the inauguration`s go-ahead was
given main subject to not hiking the fares and it should stick to the agreement.
Just by giving the reference to efforts by Bharatiya Janata Party Gopal Shetty and
Kirit Somaiya, chavan suspected that, BJP Party is not helping RInfra in the
fare hike. The BJP should make its stand clear on the foremost issue of fares and
take important responsibility for any hike in the ticket prices, chavan said in
one statement. He gave very clearance that any fare hike would be after the estimation
of expert committee on the fares and the state government was opposed to any random
surge in the passenger ticket prices.
